Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Special Education Teachers (SPED) for a full-time position within schools in the Frederick, MD area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Maryland teaching certificate in Special Education.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background check and fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Assess students' skills to determine their needs and develop teaching plans.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
  • Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students progress and goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor students' progress.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings and other required trainings and meetings.
