Job Summary:
The Special Education Teacher will develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with disabilities. This role involves collaborating with families, general education staff, and other specialists to create a supportive learning environment that helps students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique learning styles and goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusion.
  • Use data-driven approaches to monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with families to share updates on student progress and strategies for support.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district policies regarding special education services.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable classroom environment.
