Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Full-Time Position (2023-2024 School Year)

Location: Hamtramck, MI

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

Position Overview: As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive and enriching learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
• Effectively communicate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to foster a collaborative and supportive educational community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Michigan.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
