Hours: 37.5 hours per week (school calendar, includes some professional development days and non-school days)
Caseload: 8-10 students

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in White Bear Lake, MN, for the remainder of the school year. This role involves case management, special education paperwork, and delivering instruction in small group settings. The focus will be on math, reading, social skills, and study skills, with an emphasis on fostering self-regulation and self-awareness throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 8-10 students currently enrolled in the program.
• Collaborate with and support 2 paraeducators in the classroom.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Teach small group classes in math, reading, social skills, and study skills.
• Incorporate strategies to promote self-regulation and self-awareness.
• Ensure compliance with special education paperwork and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate certification in Special Education (state-specific requirements apply).
• Experience with small group instruction and individualized lesson planning.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with paraeducators and other school staff.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours per week, aligned with the school calendar. Professional development days and other non-student days are included
