BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in empowering students with special needs and fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.

Position Details:
  • Location: Braintree, MA
  • Employment Type: Contract, Full-time (35 hrs/week)
  • Caseload: Kindergarten – 8 students, autism caseload, 3 paras in class.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide specialized instruction and support for academic and social development
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including parents, teachers, and therapists
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
  • Active/Valid Special Education certification in Massachusetts
  • Experience with students with special needs, especially in life skills, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
