Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

BlazerJobs is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join Palmer Public Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This role involves providing support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Position Details:

• Schedule:
  • 30 hours per week
  • Full-time, in-person position
• Caseload:
  • Assist in supporting students with speech and language development needs

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
• Conduct speech and language assessments under supervision and assist in tracking student progress
• Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support students' communication goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of student progress

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or equivalent per state requirements
• Experience working with students with speech and language disorders preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• In-person availability required
