Job Description: As an SLPA, you will work alongside licensed Speech Language Pathologists to provide vital support to students with communication disorders or delays. Your role will involve assisting in assessments, implementing therapy plans, and documenting progress. You will play a crucial part in helping students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists to develop and implement therapy plans.
• Assist in conducting assessments and screenings of students' communication abilities.
• Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions to students.
• Document and maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Attend meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
• Virginia SLPA licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• Previous experience in a school setting is a plus.
