Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time contract position for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Moriarty, NM. Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Moriarty, NM
Type: Full-Time Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective educational and therapeutic strategies.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education programs.
  • Provide training and resources to school staff and families to support students' speech and language development.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided and student progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education and speech therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet all local and state requirements for Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico.
  • Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and professionals.
  • Proficiency with speech therapy tools and techniques.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
