Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role within school districts in the Thomasville, NC area. Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check and any additional screenings required by the school district.
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to different school environments.

Key Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist will provide essential services to support students' communication development and educational success. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on students' specific needs.
  • Providing direct therapy to students, both individually and in small groups, to improve speech, language, fluency, and voice.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educating and training staff, parents, and students on communication strategies and interventions.
  • Participating in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
