Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elmhurst, IL

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Elmhurst, IL area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality therapy services to students.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Possess an active Illinois SLP license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Obtain an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred but not required)
  • Have prior experience working as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Meet all local and state requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and district-specific clearances

Responsibilities

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, key duties may include:

  • Conducting assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to support students' educational goals
  • Providing direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and state guidelines
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records for reporting and compliance
  • Ensuring adherence to Illinois state regulations and district policies for school-based therapy services
