School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Description

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Hours: 10 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
Location: Onsite only

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a part-time basis. This position requires working onsite at our school to provide speech therapy services to students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students enhance their communication skills and succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech, language, and hearing assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on students’ needs.

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.

• Maintain accurate records and document student performance.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the goal-setting process.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.

• Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Experience in a school setting preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
