Speech-Language Pathologist (Full-Time)
Location: New Britain, Connecticut
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the New Britain, Connecticut area. We are actively interviewing candidates who are passionate about supporting students' communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement effective speech and language interventions.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students requiring speech and language services.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on communication disorders and intervention strategies.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Connecticut Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations related to speech-language services in schools.
