We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district in Albuquerque, NM. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic student population, providing essential services in speech and language development. The caseload is subject to change, so we need a candidate who is adaptable and can work independently.
Caseload:
- K-12 students
- Flexible caseloads, depending on district needs
- Both direct and indirect therapy services provided
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico state licensure for SLP
- Must be comfortable working independently with limited supervision
- Communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
- Experience in school-based therapy or pediatric settings preferred
- PED (Educational Cert) in process or completed is required for this position, though it can be in process while starting the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech therapy sessions
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and diagnoses for speech and language impairments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure effective communication support for students
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
