BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Ontario, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact on students' communication and language development while working in a collaborative school environment. The assignment will run from January 20, 2025, through May 22, 2025, with 35 hours per week.

Caseload/Details:

  • Start Time: 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM (depending on site start time)
  • Caseload: Mixed age group (Elementary and possibly Middle School students)
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or small group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide ongoing communication with families
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations as necessary

Details & Requirements:

  • Location: Ontario, CA

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Contract (35 hours/week)

  • Start Date: January 20, 2025

  • End Date: May 22, 2025

  • Experience:

  • Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
  • Comfortable working with a mixed-age student population
  • Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current California State SLP License
  • ASHA Certification preferred
  • Experience with IEP development and speech therapy in schools is a plus
