We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic school district in Houston, TX. The position requires providing speech therapy services for students in elementary and middle schools. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student needs
- Monitor and document student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goals and strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions
- Provide consultation to school staff and parents as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Texas
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with K-8 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and treatment strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
