Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Duncanville, TX. This part-time position involves working with a diverse campus caseload of 35-40 students, providing essential speech and language therapy services. The role requires onsite work to ensure that students receive high-quality, direct support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Support Plans: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized support plans to address students' speech and language needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success and ensure coordinated care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and communications.
  • Assist with Assessments: Support the SLP in conducting assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions as directed by the SLP.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Texas.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment: A strong commitment to helping students develop their speech and language skills.
