The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in providing direct speech and language therapy to students individually or in groups. 

  • Implement treatment plans and activities designed by the supervising SLP. 

  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting activities as directed by the SLP. 

  • Support SLPs in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments. 

  • Prepare materials and equipment for therapy sessions. 

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals. 

  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on student progress and therapy needs. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field. 

  • Current state certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. 

  • Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting preferred. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and instructions. 

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
