Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lexington, just a 30 minute drive from Winston-Salem. This full-time position involves working with a K-12 caseload, providing direct related services and support plans to students with speech and language needs. This role is crucial in assisting the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering high-quality therapy services to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Support Plans: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized support plans to address students' speech and language needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success and ensure coordinated care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and communications.
  • Assist with Assessments: Support the SLP in conducting assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions as directed by the SLP.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment: A strong commitment to helping students develop their speech and language skills.

  • Work Environment: This position requires onsite work at the designated school(s) in Lexington, NC.
  • Caseload: Work with a diverse caseload of K-12 students, providing essential support services as directed by the SLP.
