Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Los Gatos, CA

Overview:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Los Gatos, CA. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the speech and language needs of students within the school district.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language disorders and determine their educational impact.

  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs.

  • Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, addressing communication goals and objectives.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support the integration of speech and language goals into the students' overall educational program.

  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of goals.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and other documentation as required by state regulations and district policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences from an accredited program.

  • License and Certification: Current California state license or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting.

  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with educational professionals and parents. Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing evidence-based therapy techniques.
