Support Student Success as a School-Based SLI

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) for a full-time position in Toccoa, GA. This role is an exciting opportunity to support students by bridging communication gaps and fostering an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation services for students in a classroom setting.
• Assist students with hearing impairments in understanding lessons, activities, and interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
• Adapt interpretation style to meet the unique needs of individual students.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while adhering to ethical guidelines for interpreters.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (RID, EIPA, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Previous experience working with children in an educational environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
