We are now hiring a School Social Worker to support K-12 students! This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to make a difference in students' lives by helping them overcome social, emotional, and academic challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social and emotional support to K-12 students to help them navigate challenges that may impact their academic performance and personal well-being.
• Develop and implement individual and group counseling sessions to address behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other support staff to create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, and develop intervention plans as necessary.
• Support students in developing positive coping mechanisms, problem-solving skills, and self-advocacy.
• Facilitate communication between home, school, and outside agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant discussions to ensure students' social and emotional needs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions while adhering to confidentiality standards.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Active Illinois State School Social Worker License (Type 73 Certification).
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
