Hourly Rate: $55-$60/hour
Work Hours: Full time, 37.5-40

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with visual impairments? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will provide general TVI services to students across K-12, ensuring they have the support and resources they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
• Collaborate effectively with other TVIs and members of the related services team to develop and implement personalized educational plans.
• Engage with students, families, and staff to promote inclusive educational practices and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Contribute to a student-centered approach, ensuring that all decisions are made with the best interests of the students in mind.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a TVI in a school-based setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students of all ages, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Strong commitment to district values including being student-centered, fearless, united, and social justice driven.
• Alignment with team values of being anti-racist, neurodiversity-affirming, and collaborative practitioners.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
