Job Title: Part-Time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Location: Archbald, PA

Duration: Weeks of July 10th, July 24th, and July 31st

Schedule: 1 opening, part-time hours

Caseload: 10 students in total, with each student receiving 30 minutes per week

Requirements:

• School experience as a TVI
• Active license and certifications in Pennsylvania for teaching students with visual impairments
• Must provide or obtain Pennsylvania clearances
• Comfortable working in a short-term assignment
• On-site work only
• Zoom interview required

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Archbald, Pennsylvania. This part-time position will cover the weeks of July 10th, July 24th, and July 31st. As a TVI, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials to accommodate students' unique learning styles and visual needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' functional vision and educational needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Monitor students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and IEP meetings as required.
• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and assistive technologies in the field of visual impairment.
