Overview: Blazer Jobs is partnering with the Siloam Springs School District to hire a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the upcoming school year. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple buildings within the district. The TVI will have an office located at the central office location.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding students with disabilities

Qualifications:

  • Valid Arkansas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel between school buildings as needed

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
