Job Description:

We are seeking a committed and qualified School Psychologist to join our educational team for the 2024-2025 school year in Wapato, WA. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive school environment, helping students from Kindergarten through 12th grade thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Intervention: Develop and implement intervention strategies to address students' academic and behavioral challenges.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to design and implement effective support plans and strategies.
  • Crisis Management: Provide immediate and effective intervention during crises and support the development of crisis response plans.
  • IEP Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Behavior Plans: Create and monitor behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Data Collection: Maintain accurate records and data on student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Master s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for Washington State certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities are essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
