Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education and then master’s or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
- SPED Teacher’s usually specialize or focus on teaching certain students (K-12th, Mild-Moderate Level Students, or even Severe Autistic students). These specifications may be listed as endorsements on their license.
- Often work with student evaluations: IEPs (Individualized Education Program/Plan)
- Must hold and Active Special Education State Teaching License
- VOCO: Must have State License, 2 Years of School Experience, and Education Certificate if required.
- Teaching credential with ANY of the 6 Sped endorsements
Job Details:
- Start & End Date: 2024 - 2025 New School Year
- Hours: Full Time & Part Time available
- Caseload Details: More details can be discussed during an interview.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, tailoring approaches to meet individual learning goals and needs.
- Assessing student progress, adapting curriculum materials, and implementing behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
