URGENT! Teacher of the Visually Impaired ( TVI): Los Angeles, CA

Are you a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) passionate about empowering students with visual impairments to achieve their full potential? Join our team and make a significant impact by providing specialized instruction and support to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
• Provide instruction in Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support inclusive education.
• Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and recommend appropriate accommodations.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet educational goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education with a focus on Visual Impairments, or a related field.
• State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility techniques.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments in a school setting is preferred.
