BlazerJobs is looking for a Virtual Mental Health Counselor fluent in Ukrainian to provide support to an elementary school student for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year. This remote position offers the chance to make a significant difference in a student’s emotional well-being and academic success.


Position Details:

  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Position Type: Part-Time, Contract (30 minutes per week)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: End of the 2024/2025 school year
  • Session Availability: Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays
  • Caseload: 1 General Education Elementary Student
  • Hours: 30 minutes per week (flexible scheduling within specified days)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual counseling sessions for a general education elementary student.
  • Provide support for managing emotional, academic, and social challenges.
  • Develop and implement coping strategies, emotional regulation techniques, and tools for overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure seamless communication and holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate session records and document student progress regularly.
  • Use an integrated virtual platform to conduct sessions, with technical support available.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field.
  • PPS Credential (Pupil Personnel Services Credential) required.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian is essential for effective communication with the student.
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in a virtual environment, is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students’ emotional and academic development.
