Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to work with high school students enrolled in the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) program. This full-time position is a remote opportunity, providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment while meeting the educational goals of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual instruction aligned with the OCS curriculum to high school students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Utilize virtual teaching platforms and tools to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven decisions to adapt teaching methods as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and school staff regarding student performance and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification in North Carolina.
  • Experience with Occupational Course of Study (OCS) curriculum is preferred.
  • Proficient in virtual teaching technologies and platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a virtual classroom effectively.

Compensation:
This position is a 1099 contract role, offering competitive pay.
