Virtual Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Tennessee

We are seeking a committed and qualified Contracted Special Education Teacher to join our school district in Tiptonville, TN virtually.

Details:

• Compensation: Competitive pay - negotiable

• Position Type: 1099 Position (Independent Contractor)
• Insurance Requirement: Must obtain at least a $500,000 liability insurance policy

Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
• Utilize innovative virtual teaching methods and tools to engage students and enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other professionals to ensure students' academic and social-emotional needs are met.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in Tennessee.
• Experience working in Special Education, preferably in a virtual or remote teaching environment.
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Special Education laws and regulations.
• Technologically adept and comfortable using virtual teaching platforms and tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
