Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will assist teachers in providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students, ensuring they have a positive and inclusive learning experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning or behavioral needs.
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans for students requiring accommodations.
- Support students in developing social-emotional and academic skills.
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of learning materials, and administrative tasks.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, reporting observations to teachers and support staff.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate’s degree, 60 college credits, or ParaPro Assessment certification (preferred).
- Experience working with children or students in an educational setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and provide support for diverse student needs.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain required California state clearances.
- Willingness to participate in training and professional development.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
