As a School Nurse (RN), you will provide comprehensive health services to students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to create a safe and healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct healthcare services to students, including first aid, chronic disease management, and emergency care.
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specific health needs.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support students' health and academic success.
- Educate students and staff on health-related topics and promote a healthy school environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
- Must have a valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Must be CPR and BLS Certified
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks preferred
