A dedicated school in Thornton, Colorado is seeking an ASL Paraprofessional to support a 1st grade student with multiple disabilities for the upcoming school year. This student is in the early stages of learning sign language, so we're looking for someone who can not only communicate using ASL but also help teach and reinforce signing throughout the day.

Location: Thornton, CO
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Dates: New School Year (Exact start TBD)
Caseload: 1st Grade Student | One-on-One Support
Hourly Rate: $26+/hr (W-2)
Setting: Onsite Only

Position Overview:

• Provide direct, one-on-one support to a 1st grade student with multiple disabilities

• Use and model American Sign Language (ASL) throughout the day

• Support the student’s learning, communication, and independence

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to meet IEP goals

• Help foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred

• Patience, compassion, and a willingness to teach ASL to early learners

• Must be able to commit to the full school year schedule
