Overview:
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
- Contract Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
- Renewal: Based on performance and district need
Must meet all state and local qualifications:
- Valid CA Audiologist credentials
- Must have prior school-based experience
- Looking for a long-term commitment to the district rather than a one semester/one year assignment
- Conduct hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations for students
- Identify and assess hearing disorders that may impact academic performance
- Provide recommendations for hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and classroom accommodation
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and special education staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs
- Instruct staff on how to use assistive devices
- Monitor the effectiveness of audiological services and maintain accurate documentation
- Serve as a resource for families and school staff regarding hearing-related concerns
