This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule: provide consultation and attend meetings remotely, while being on-site to conduct hearing and Central Auditory Processing Evaluations. Youll partner with school teams and families to help students reach their potential, drawing on your expertise in audiology within an educational context.

Desired Background:

  • Current, active Virginia Audiology license is required
  • Experience conducting hearing and Central Auditory Processing Evaluations, especially with school-aged populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with faculty, administrators, students, and parents
  • Previous experience in schools or pediatric environments preferred
  • Comfort navigating hybrid work arrangements: remote consultations and in-person assessments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive hearing assessments and Central Auditory Processing Disorder evaluations for K12 students
  • Provide expert recommendations and reports to inform educational teams and support student IEPs
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, and parents, offering strategies and resources for student success
  • Collaborate in meetings both on campus and virtually
  • Remain up-to-date on best practices, technology, and district policies
