This specialized role blends the responsibility of high school teaching in the mornings with the rewarding challenge of serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) at the elementary level in the afternoons. The BIS role provides crucial support in developing and implementing individualized behavior plans, allowing you to mentor and consult with fellow educatorsno independent caseload required.

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience as a BCBA or in behavioral analysis preferred
  • Background in Special Education teaching (K-12)
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and communication skills
  • Must submit updated resume and proof of licensure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Split schedule: 0.5 FTE HS teaching (mornings), 0.5 FTE elementary BIS (afternoons)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educators
  • Support behavior plan development and provide classroom-based coaching
  • Adapt teaching and interventions to meet diverse student needs
  • Maintain compliance with special education laws and district guidelines
