This contract opportunity spans the full academic year, offering a balanced schedule where your morning focuses on high school special education (0.5 FTE), and your afternoons are dedicated to serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist (0.5 FTE) at the elementary level. As a BIS, youll collaborate with teachers, offering expertise in developing and consulting on behavior plansempowering educators and improving student outcomes.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher; BCBA credentials desired
  • Knowledge of behavioral intervention and instructional strategies for diverse student needs
  • Strong consultation, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Organizational skills to balance split assignments and flexible daily routines
  • Ability to adapt interventions for both high school and elementary settings

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Teaching high school special education classes in the morning
  • Serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist in elementary classrooms in the afternoon
  • Providing guidance to teachers on behavioral supports and individualized plans
  • Consulting on student needs and assisting with functional behavior assessments
