Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Full-Time | Hackensack, NJ | 2025–2026 School Year
A fantastic school district located in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and services to students based on individual needs and IEP goals
Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development and successful implementation of behavior strategies
Provide training and support to instructional staff on behavior intervention techniques
Monitor and track student progress, making data-driven decisions and maintaining accurate documentation
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert insight into behavioral needs and supports
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Must hold or be eligible for New Jersey Department of Education certification (such as DOE Behaviorist approval or related service credential)
Experience working in school settings or with students with autism and other developmental or behavioral challenges preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Deep knowledge of behavioral methodologies, including ABA principles, data collection, and intervention design
