Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students and staff as both a Special Education Teacher and Behavior Intervention Specialist. This combined role offers a unique chance to make an impact across high school and elementary settings near Maple Grove, MN. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, working approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the anticipated schedule of 7am-3pm.

In your mornings, you will serve as a Special Education Teacher for a high school crew, providing essential educational support. Your afternoons will focus on behavior intervention, collaborating with the elementary team. As a Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS), you will not maintain a caseload but will instead partner with teachers to develop and implement effective behavior plans, offering consultative expertise to enhance student success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Teaching License (must be Tier 3 or Tier 4)
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) highly preferred
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher and/or BIS strongly desired
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to support and guide instructional staff
  • Expertise in designing and implementing individualized education and behavior intervention plans
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to high school special education students in the mornings
  • Consult with elementary staff and support classroom teachers in the afternoons, focusing on behavior interventions
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of behavior support strategies
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Document student progress and consultative activities in compliance with program standards
