Step into a dynamic contract position supporting students growth and success as a Special Education professional. This role offers a unique blend of responsibilitiesspending half the workday as a high school Special Education Teacher and the other half serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) at the elementary level. Your expertise will impact both individual students and broader teaching teams, making a real difference every day throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Active Minnesota Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required for Special Education)
  • Experience working as a BCBA, Special Education Teacher, or in behavioral intervention roles within schools
  • Strong understanding of behavior analysis, IEPs, and classroom-based support strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to consult with educators and families
  • Ability to adapt to varied settingsmorning assignments at the high school, afternoon focus on elementary BIS needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support high school students in the Anoka Crew during morning hours
  • Serve as a BIS for elementary staff in the Champlin Crew during afternoons, consulting and aiding in behavior plan development
  • Partner with teachers to provide behavioral expertise; help implement targeted interventions and strategies
  • Foster inclusive classroom environments and contribute to positive student outcomes
  • Maintain required documentation and assist in the special education process

This opportunity kicks off on August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with consistent weekday hours from 7am to 3pm in a supportive educational community.
