Step into a vital role supporting students with significant social and emotional needs through the Pyramid Program at a middle school near Sykesville, MD. This contract position is perfect for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) eager to make an impact by providing intensive special education and therapeutic services in a structured, inclusive environment. The assignment will begin as soon as possible, allowing for a transition period before covering a leave starting in December and extending through the end of February. Youll have the unique opportunity to shadow the outgoing BCBA to ensure a seamless handover and the best support for students.

Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA certification required
  • Experience working with students experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges preferred
  • Relevant background in special education and behavior analysis
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to contribute to an inclusive and supportive school community

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive behavioral and therapeutic support to students in the Pyramid Program
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and administrators to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, some of which may occur after standard school hours
  • Foster a safe, supportive learning environment in a structured small-group setting
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to other staff as appropriate
