As a BCBA working in a school-based setting, you’ll take the lead in assessing behavioral needs, designing individualized intervention plans, and supporting staff with implementation. You’ll play a crucial role in helping students succeed both in the classroom and in life.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs):
Identify the underlying causes of behavior and shape strategic intervention plans.
Develop and Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs):
Create personalized plans to promote positive behavior and academic engagement.
Data Collection & Analysis:
Monitor student progress and use data to refine strategies.
Collaborate with Educators and Families:
Partner with teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure cohesive support.
Provide Staff Training & Guidance:
Offer coaching on evidence-based behavior management techniques.
Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
Certification: Active BCBA certification (BACB)
Experience: School-based experience preferred but not required
