A Phoenix School District is seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Intervention Specialist to support high school students with significant behavioral needs for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position located at Chavez High School.
Caseload of up to 30 high school students
Responsibilities include student observation, data collection, and developing recommendations for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Collaborate and consult with special education staff to implement behavior intervention strategies
Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
Valid certification in Special Education, Psychology, or Social Work
Minimum 3 years of experience working with high school students exhibiting significant behavioral challenges
Proficient in conducting FBAs and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Strong collaboration and consultation skills
