Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated Behavior Intervention Specialist to join a high school team in Phoenix, Arizona for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for professionals experienced in behavior management and intervention at the secondary level.
Position Details:
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Contract Dates: August 4, 2025 – May 22, 2026
Caseload: Up to 30 high school students
Location: Onsite, high school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct student observations and collect behavior data
Develop and provide input for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Implement and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Consult and collaborate regularly with special education staff, related service providers, and administrators
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute behavior-related strategies
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or Social Work
Valid certification in one of the following: Special Education, Psychology, or Social Work (Arizona credentialing required)
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with high school students exhibiting significant behavioral needs
Demonstrated expertise in conducting FBAs and implementing behavior intervention plans
Strong communication and collaboration skills
