School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Schaumburg, Illinois

Youll be working full-time, covering 35-37.5 hours weekly, with responsibilities spread across multiple school sitesincluding elementary, middle, and high school settings. Each day provides a unique experience as you travel between campuses within the district, supporting students growth and independence.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Valid Illinois educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and environments
• Fingerprinting requirement must be completed as part of onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions as prescribed by an Occupational Therapist
• Support students participation and success in school routines and activities
• Collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized student plans
• Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records
• Travel between assigned school sites to provide direct services to a diverse caseload
