Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with local school districts, is currently interviewing qualified and passionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) for a full-time, school-based contract position in Hudson, SD. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans and activities to help students develop or regain daily living and functional skills.

  • Support students in achieving goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to optimize student outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.

  • Assist in preparing materials and adaptive equipment used during therapy sessions.


Qualifications & Requirements:

Applicants must meet all South Dakota state and local requirements to be considered:

  • Valid South Dakota COTA license issued by the South Dakota Board of Medicine

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Supervision agreement with a licensed Occupational Therapist

  • Current CPR certification (if required by the district)

  • Background check and fingerprint clearance

  • TB test and/or other health clearances as required by the district

Preferred:

  • One or more years of experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting
