Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California (required)
  • Demonstrated experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary populations
  • Skilled in supporting and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families
  • Proficiency with providing onsite, direct therapeutic services to children
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work the full assignment onsite
  • Comfortable with virtual interviews via Zoom

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in student IEPs
  • Collaborate with supervising OTs, teachers, and staff to maximize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate session notes and progress tracking
  • Support classroom staff and adapt the environment to accommodate diverse student needs
  • Assist in the evaluation and reevaluation of students as needed
  • Contribute to parent conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings
