Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time | School-Based | Las Vegas, NV

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) for a full-time, school-based position with districts in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. We are seeking passionate, qualified professionals who are committed to helping students thrive through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Position Summary:

• Location: Las Vegas, NV and surrounding school districts

• Schedule: Full-Time, School Hours

• Start Date: Immediate

• Contract Duration: Current academic year, with potential for renewal based on performance

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all Nevada state and local licensing standards, including:

• Associate’s degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Active Nevada COTA license issued by the Nevada Board of Occupational Therapy

• Current NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Must pass required background checks and district hiring procedures

Typical Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and functional classroom participation

• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed, compliant documentation

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents, and school staff to ensure continuity of care

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluation and planning

• Adapt and modify classroom tasks and materials to support student success
