Fort Lauderdale, FL- School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

We are actively seeking a qualified and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, onsite position in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This opportunity involves working with a K-12 caseload for the 2025–2026 school year in a supportive educational environment.

Position Details:

• Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

• Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite

• Caseload: K-12 students

• School Year: 2025–2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Support the implementation of therapy plans targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and other functional abilities

• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success in the classroom

• Monitor student progress and document therapy sessions in compliance with district and state guidelines

• Assist in adapting educational materials and environments to promote student independence

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student goal-setting and intervention planning

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Active Florida COTA license

• Experience working in school settings is preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to follow OT supervision guidelines and contribute to team-based services
