Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Tampa, FL

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K–12 students in a school-based setting in Tampa, FL. This full-time, onsite position is for the 2025–2026 school year and offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance student success and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Implement therapy programs and activities that support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills

• Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records

• Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student IEP goals

• Adapt classroom materials and strategies to promote student participation and independence

• Maintain compliance with school district, state, and federal guidelines

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Active Florida COTA license

• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with school teams and follow OT directives
